The account said proceeds will go directly to Gregoire and Charlotte. As of Thursday morning, donors had contributed more than $5,600.
The tragedy was made worse by the death of Elmer s father, Blaine Kenneth Elmer, 64, later Sunday morning in a crash at Skyline Boulevard and Trafalgar Parkway in Cape Coral.
Elmer was reportedly driving his motorcycle to meet with his son for a ride and was not aware of his son s death.
The two owned the Sea-Craft Waterfront Tiki Bar & Grill in North Fort Myers, with Nicholas Elmer handling chef duties.
Both men lived in Cape Coral.
