Coming now from this court. and as my husband say, we just seeking for justifiable. the family argues algorithm to send content to users was not protected by section 230. in court the justices pressed lawyers to differentiate between whether big tech was recommending or providing harmful content online and whether the algorithms were neutrally applied through thumb nails. the numb nails from what i understand is based upon what the algorithms suggest the user is interested in. so, if you are interested in cooking you don t want thumb nails on light jazz. the emails don t appear thin air. algorithms targeted to something. some justices suggested the courts should stay out of the issue for now. we really don t know about these things. these are not like the nine greatest experts on the internet. isn t that something for congress to do, not the court? a case with a similar theme involving twitter will come ....

There have been bipartisan calls to limit or scale back the immunity provided in section 230. what will that do for republicans? you ve covered this issue extensively over the last couple of years. think about this from the election perspective. are we a better country as we continue as we did in 2016, and 2020, and 2022, where we had government agencies influencing those creating those algorithm, and having an impact on what was deemed as acceptable and what could be put up. are we a better country for that. are we a better country if a trial lawyer could go get some plaintiffs and sue a republican candidate for what they said online, which then would make the social media companies less likely to put content of republican candidates up. and do we really need to give trial lawyers a way to make more money to fund democratic candidates to help get them ....
