Welcome to bbc news. A senior cabinet minister has told the bbc that the government should consider borrowing more money to invest in building hundreds of thousands of new homes. Speaking on the andrew marr show, the communities secretary sajid javid said up to 300,000 new homes a year are needed a level of construction not seen since the 1960s. 0ur Political Correspondent Jonathan Blake reports. New homes are being built, but nowhere near enough. The government admits that the Housing Market is broken.
