reporter: when president biden took office he tasked an investigation into the solar winds attack, only came to light in december, we know at least going on in march and still ongoing. about solarwinds, brought out neuberger to date the most cyber official and got the most specific detail from the biden administration. saying it s going to take several months, you noted, for this investigation to play out. in addition, we now know according to neuberger nine different agencies were affected by the solarwinds attack. a more specific number than given in the part and around 100 companies were compromised. that is significant, but at the same time, there were around 18,000 solerwinds clients using the software. so relatively speaking that is far fewer a number of potential victims than there actually could have been. neuberger went on to say they are working on an executive order to address the gaps that are being identified in this investigation, but because of the scale and
