St. Cyril of Alexandria Roman Catholic Church in East Lansdowne, founded in 1928, will officially close in January. St. Cyril merged with St. Philomena Parish, Lansdowne, in 2013, and St. Cyril Church then became a worship site of the newly formed parish. The church building needs a new slate roof and has other debts that were factors influencing the decision to close it.
