LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â A group of attorneys from West Virginia and Kentucky has filed a lawsuit claiming a woman was raped and sexually assaulted by an officer while she was incarcerated at Federal Medical Center Lexington.
The plaintiff, who was not identified by name, filed the complaint on April 28 in federal court against the federal government and Officer Christopher Brian Goodwin.
According to the complaint, the woman was assigned in August 2019 to work duty refinishing and filling floors at several buildings at FMC Lexington, including offices and administrative buildings. The work was supervised by Goodwin. ....

LEXINGTON, Kentucky – A group of West Virginia attorneys have filed a second lawsuit claiming another female federal inmate was raped, sexually assaulted and battered while incarcerated at a Kentucky prison.
The plaintiff, identified only as L.C., filed the complaint May 8 in federal court against the federal government and Residential Drug Abuse Program Instructor Hosea Lee at the Federal Medical Center Lexington.
The core group of her attorneys, including L. Dante diTrapano, are from West Virginia and have filed several similar lawsuits in recent years, including one last month related to the same prison.

LEXINGTON, Kentucky – A group of West Virginia attorneys have filed a lawsuit claiming a female federal inmate was raped, sexually assaulted and battered while incarcerated.
The plaintiff, identified only as B.A., filed the complaint April 28 in federal court against the federal government and Officer Christopher Brian Goodwin.

Fiancée of unarmed Roane man killed by deputy files lawsuit against him, county

SPENCER – The fiancée of a man who was shot and killed by a Roane County sheriff’s deputy in 2019 has filed a lawsuit against the deputy and the county commission.
Tammy Lou Nichols filed her complaint February 19 in Roane Circuit Court against Deputy Michael King and the Roane County Commission. She was engaged to Timothy Rhodes, who was shot and killed by King on February 22, 2019.

Earlier this month, King, the Roane County Commission and Sheriff L. Todd Cole were named in another federal lawsuit over a similar shooting and fatality involving King.
In her complaint, Nichols says she and Timmy Rhodes, who was 28, went to his childhood home on Ambler Ridge Road to collect mail and other items. She says the long-established entrance to the home is through use of a roadway that passes in front of the home of Beth and Robert Young. ....
