When we checked in on the Arizona Coyotes at the IIHF World Championship it was a mixed bag. Liam Kirk was doing great for Great Britain, while Adin Hill and Darcy Kuemper were struggling with Canada.
But every team has played again, time to check in to see how things are doing.
Team Canada
Canada has struggled in this tournament, but yesterday they scored their first win with a 4-2 victory over Norway. Canada went back to their all-Coyotes goaltending pair, with Darcy Kuemper getting the start and Adin Hill serving backup.
As much as I would like to give Kuemper all the credit, it helps that Canada was finally able to score more than two goals. But if there are any goaltenders who are used to the team in front of them being unable to score, it s Darcy Kuemper and Adin Hill.

PHOENIX – Arizona Coyotes forward Christian Dvorak has returned to school.
No, not in a classroom with a paper and pencil in hand.
Rather, on the ice with a set of mitts and a freshly taped stick.
Dvorak has evolved into the Coyotes’ top center in his fifth season with the team, thanks in part to studying one of the game’s best at his position, Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron.

Last week, we discussed the possibility of Barrett Hayton being assigned to the AHL to play with the Tucson Roadrunners. Hayton had previously spent the past few games as the fourth-line center, and afterward, he was a healthy scratch for the next two games.
Today, the Coyotes made the move, assigning Barrett Hayton to the AHL.
