The trade between Belarus and China has been growing at a record high pace, Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Alesya Abramenko said a a meeting of the working group to ease trade procedures of the Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation at the Belarusian-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee.
China remains one of the most important strategic partners of Belarus. According to Alesya Abramenko, thanks to the high level of cooperation incremental growth and the advancement of joint trade and economic initiatives are observed.
Alesya Abramenko said: “Digitization growth, gradual transition to electronic commerce represent a driver of key changes in the world economy and respectively a driver of interaction of two strategic partners – Belarus and China. Trade between the two countries grows higher every year and exceeded $5 billion in 2021."
The development of integrated information systems is the key to removing obstacles in the internal market of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, Belarus' Deputy Economy Minister Alesya Abramenko said at the Eurasian Economic Forum, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.
According to Alesya Abramenko, the trade between Belarus and China in the first quarter of 2022 was estimated at $1.2 billion. Belarus is China's top 10 suppliers of potash fertilizers, whey, meat products, and rapeseed oil.
