City of California fires two officers after closed session during Jan. 4 city council meeting

The city of California has fired two police officers after a vote during the Jan. 4 city council meeting.
According to reported city council minutes, the council went into a closed session at 7:39 p.m.
During the reported closed minutes, the council members discussed terminating two officers.
Alderwoman Grimes and Aldermans Ash, Baker, Elliott, and Lawson all voted to terminate the officers on Jan. 5. Only Alderwoman Dudley voted against the termination.
After the vote, the members voted to enter back into open session.
