public for about two hours. around 6:30, police say a man was paying at the man booth at the 5th and mission garage when someone came up from behind and shot him several times in the lower part of his body, prompting police to close off all entrances and exits to the garage. we took all the public outside of the parking garage, and we used our tactical units to do a systematic church floor by floor to check all the vehicles and the parking garages to make sure that the subject wasn t still outstanding and on the loose. reporter: items that appeared to belong to the victim. we counted at least four bullet casings. very unsettling. it s not safe to do anything anymore. we can t live in fear either. reporter: investigators say they re now looking at surveillance video in the garage and surrounding areas to see where the suspect went. it doesn t appear to be a random shooting. we believe that they may have known each other, so it wasn t a person that was being targeted
