A compilation of offences from Kingston’s Ontario Court of Justice for the period of Nov. 9-13, 2020. Only sentences that involved a large fine, probation or incarceration are included.
Corey T. Badgerow, 29, was convicted of thefts from the 445 Princess St. Shoppers Drug Mart in late September and the Barrack Street LCBO in late October, plus two related violations of probation imposed in May 2019 by failing to keep the peace. He was given double credit on 21 days of pretrial custody and sentenced to time served. Badgerow stole $77 worth of merchandise from Shoppers Drug Mart in September, according to assistant Crown attorney John Skoropada, but was spotted by the store’s loss prevention officer as he attempted to leave without paying and was intercepted, resulting in full recovery of the items.
