Author of the article: Pincher Creek Echo Staff Publishing date: Jul 14, 2021  •  7 hours ago  •  3 minute read  •  Article content After a very long and exhausting appeal to the incinerator project put forward as an addition to our little landfill, and despite great steps by the Alberta Environmental Appeals (and also North Shore, and Integrated Sustainability at great cost to the M.D. taxpayer,) to make the process as long, difficult, complicated and expensive as it could possibly ever be, over several years, the approval is done. Finally the Independent Board made a decision, though they found CNCP did not have an effective communications plan in place to address local residents’ concerns. The Board recommended CNCP develop and implement such a plan. A Ministerial Order was signed by the Minister, Jason Nixon on Mar. 18, 2021.
