The Alberta Agricultural Society has rewarded Evergreen Park (Grande Prairie Regional Agricultural & Exhibition Society) for its innovation and resilience during the trying times of COVID 19 in 2020 and into 2021.
The Park has been recognized for its creativity and community impact during the pandemic with an Alberta Agricultural Society Innovation Award.
Larger regional agricultural societies from across the province were nominated for the award and Evergreen Park was chosen as the society that did the best job of overcoming challenges faced over the last year.
Some things the Park has done since March of 2020:
worked with partners like the Festival of Trees, Northern Spirit Light Show and Sportsman Gun Show to ensure their events, while scaled down, were able to be held
