Cloris Leachman, a character actor whose depth of talent brought her an Oscar for the The Last Picture Show and Emmys for her comedic work in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and other TV series, has died. She was 94.Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP

According to a statement released by her manager, Leachman passed away Wednesday of natural causes in California.
Older audiences will remember Leachman for seven decades worth of impeccable work in both TV in film, which included playing Phyllis Lindstrom, an iconic role she originated on “The Mary Tyler More Show.”
