Pandemic be damned: Musician Alex Brooks made an album

Even a pandemic couldn’t stop Alex Brooks from finishing his latest album. 
Brooks, who’s the driving force behind Albany-based Greens, started work on the fantastic eight-song indie-pop of “Everything Happens for a Reason” over a year ago. Then COVID happened, and he was unable to work with his friends to finish it all up.  
As if having to stop his creative pursuits didn’t make him feel bad enough, Brooks is also a public-facing worker and had the threat of a contagion hanging over his head. 
“It was weighing on me heavily,” he lamented. “I work with the public at a coffee shop and it just kind of sat there in the back of my mind.  ....
