Deseret News Share this story Scott G Winterton, Deseret News Employees with DonorConnect on Friday marked Donor Remembrance Day and the end of National Donate Life Month by decorating its Celebration of Life Monument on Salt Lake City’s Library Square. The monument, 297 E. 500 South, honors organ donors, especially those who are deceased, and their families. Any family member whose loved one was an organ, tissue, cornea, whole body or research donor can submit their name to be added to the monument free of charge. The names of living kidney and liver donors are also included. “We invite anyone who has been touched by organ, eye, or tissue donation to take a few moments on Friday to reflect on their experience, and join us at the monument if time permits,” said David Robles, director of donor family services for the nonprofit that is dedicated to the recovery and transplantation of organs and tissues in the region. ....
