And ive been told by police that they hope to be wrapping up in the next 10 minutes. The shooting happened just after 2. 30, an adult man was fatally shot here on the street level at 8th and oak street near the lake merritt bart station by the bus zone, both by police oakland, Police Responded to the shooting, but police did a search and they took a man into custody within 90 minutes of the shooting. The station was briefly closed for about a half hour but reopened for normal service at 03 10pm. So you can get inside of this station up to go around to the other side of it to do that at this point, police say there is no indication that either the shooter or the man who was shot and killed were bart riders.
