On June 28-29, Harbourfront Centre presents the final work in the Torque dance series, Alan Lucien Øyen and winter guests’ STORY, STORY, DIE. This multidisciplinary production from the award-winning Norwegian director is an exploration of the way we shape the world’s perception of our lives, and the lies we tell to appear more desirable.

Decay, obsession and Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, the “zombie fungus.” The 92nd Street Y, New York Harkness Dance Center's 2021-22 Mainstage Series closes with Jonathan Fredrickson's GOODBYE MONTANA, an evening-length world premiere dance theater piece with music by Oleg Stepanov. Not limited to conventional dance, the piece includes text and physical theater.

DanceHouse presents the West Coast premiere of winter guests' evocative work, Story, story, die., choreographed by Artistic Director Alan Lucien Øyen, on stage June 22 and 23, 2022 at 8pm at the Vancouver Playhouse. Through cinematic staging and poignant spoken word, Story, story, die. is a thought-provoking look at the interdependency between lies and love and the surprising things we do in our everyday lives to present a more likeable narrative of ourselves to the world.
