Congressional redistricting may impact Pueblo, Southern Colorado


It’s the big shuffle that comes around every decade: redistricting.
Redistricting is the process that decides how many seats each state gets in the U.S. House of Representatives.
This time in Colorado, it s going to look different, not only because of a new procedure, but also because of serious delays in getting data from last year s census. 
Despite those challenges, the commission tasked with the critical, constitutionally-required job is pushing forward, determined to complete the drawing of new congressional and state legislative districts. 
There s a new process for 2021 redistricting 
This is the first cycle that an independent commission will draw Colorado’s congressional and state legislative districts after voters overwhelmingly approved Amendments Y and Z in 2018, which established the independent panels.
