The explosion took place at a security checkpoint in the south west of the city. Its being reported that at least 16 of those killed were university students. No one has yet admitted carrying out the attack but its assumed the Al Shabaab Group a long time threat in somalia is to blame. Our africa correspondent Andrew Harding reports. Moments after the blast, an eyewitness films the scene. Smoke still billowing from a vehicle, the remains of what is thought to have been a massive car bomb.
