Muscat: The Supreme Committee has, in view of the increasing numbers of COVID-19 in the Sultanate, imposed a mandatory quarantine for those arriving into Oman, at their own expense. This is applicable to arrivals via land, sea and air. The Committee expressed its concern over the non-compliance of guidelines by many and said that the spread is caused by those who do not adhere to quarantine rules set forth by the competent authorities in Oman. Citizens stranded outside Oman and wishing to return via land borders have been given a grace period of ten days up to February 21 within which they must enter Oman. All of those arriving into Oman must undergo institutional quarantine as laid down, apart from adhering to other required procedures for people arriving into Oman. ....
