One woman saw the plumes of smoke from her homeless than a mile away from the assisted living community. I looked out the window. It looked like a sunset and thats how big the blaze was going at that point and i knew something was going on with the helicopters and fire trucks and ambulances. Police cars everywhere. More than 20 residents have been rushed to local hospitals. Those who were not hurt are being reunited with loved ones at a nearby shelter. The red cross is also responding to help those displaced.
