Al Faris Group was responsible for receiving, storing, transporting and lifting 30 overflow tanks, as part of the ongoing construction of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park project in UAE. Al Faris first off-loaded the overflow tanks, which were 52m long and 235t, and stored them on customised stools fabricated in-house by Al Faris at Jebel Ali Port. Due to time limitations and high volume storage at the port, extensive planning was required to reduce execution time. The size and weight of the tanks presented challenges in terms of onroad transportation. Al Faris said the biggest challenge was to find a feasible route from Jebel Ali Port to the solar park. ....

Al Faris has recently provided heavy lifting and heavy transport solutions for the expansion and upgrade of two power plants in the UAE. Both projects involved the transportation, lifting and installation of various components including: HRSG modules, condensers, steam drums, generators, tanks and others. At one site, Al Faris Group completed more than 50 heavy tandem lifts, including installation of HRSG modules. For these lifts, the company used its 250t, 400t, 650t and 800t crawler cranes. Conventional hydraulic trailers and self-propelled modular trailers from its fleet were used for component transportation. “The entire six month project was carried out with utmost safety and compliance to site regulations in these challenging times,” said Al Faris. ....
