Students missing exams due to vaccination to get second chance: MoEHE


Ministry of Education (MoEHE) has announced that students missing school exams due to overlapping COVID-19 vaccine appointments can attend the second round of the exam.
The announcement was made in relation to the importance given to the Nation Campaign for the COVID vaccination in the State of Qatar.
Mohamad Al Bashri, Adviser to the Minister of Education and Higher Education, stated that students will be given a chance to appear in the second round of examinations in the case of clashing dates during a Qatar TV program yesterday.

Giving utmost importance to the National Campaign for COVID-19 vaccination, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has coordinated with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) to avoid overlapping of dates of school exams with vaccine appointments for the students.
“If the dates clash, the students will be given a chance to appear in the second round of examinations,” said Adviser to the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Mohamad Al Bashri, while speaking in a Qatar TV programme yesterday.
The second-semester exams of secondary school certificates for the academic year 2020-21 started yesterday. He said about 70 percent students from secondary schools have been vaccinated against COVID-19. ....

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has intensified its monitoring efforts to ensure schools implement COVID-19 preventive and precautionary measures ahead of midterm exams for the second semester. The exams for students from Grades 1 to 11 will begin on February 24.
“Inspection teams from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) have intensified monitoring in schools to ensure the implementation of COVID-19 measures,” said Adviser to the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Mohamad Al Bashri.
Speaking on a Qatar Radio programme yesterday, Al Bashri assured parents that the school environment is safer than outside. ....
