Delhi Police Commissioner conducts night patrol, reviews security arrangements at Red Fort, Gazipur border ANI | Updated: Jul 04, 2021 13:23 IST New Delhi [India], July 4 (ANI): Newly-appointed Delhi Police Commissioner Balaji Srivastava conducted checking on the intervening night of July 3 and 4 to inspect the presence of police personnel on the ground during night hours, and also reviewed security arrangements at Red Fort and Gazipur border. He met Inspector Pushp Lata, ATO Mandawali, and praised her efforts for showing exemplary bravery in controlling the mob at Akshar Dham during the tractor rally of farmers on January 26, as per an official release. A total of 43 different cases were registered with the crime branch, special cell, and local police, and over 150 persons were arrested in connection with various cases relating to Republic Day violence. ....

New Delhi: In beneficial news for people coming from Delhi’s Mayur Vihar Phase 1 to Noida, Uttar Pradesh, it will now become easier and less time-consuming to travel as two flyovers are coming up soon. After a wait of five years, two clover-leaf flyovers built on UP Link Road in Delhi under Barapullah Phase III project will become operational from next week. The Barapullah Phase III project entails a 3.5-km elevated roadway across the Yamuna floodplain. Earlier, people traveling from Mayur Vihar-1 to Akshardham had to cover a distance of extra 700 metres in the opposite direction as they had to travel to Noida via UP Link Road. Now, with the construction of these flyovers, this distance will be reduced. ....
