A Magistrate Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has granted seven persons linked to the alleged assault of a JSS1 pupil of the Deeper Life High School, Don-Davis, a bail of N500,000 each, including the principal.
The two minors who were involved in the case of alleged sexual abuse and molestation of the victim were also released to their parents
The school’s principal, Mrs. Ndidi Solomon, and others including Joseph Nseabasi, Akpan Johnson, Egor Wilson, Joseph Ikenna were all represented by the same counsel who applied for bail for them.
It will be recalled that the mother of his the victim, Mrs Achibong had petitioned the police over the alleged sexual molestation and maltreatment of her son at the Deeper Life School in Uyo.

A Magistrates’ Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has granted a N500,000 bail to the suspended Principal of Deeper Life High School, Uyo, Mrs. Ndidi Solomon and four other staff members accused of involvement in the alleged molestation, starvation and sexual abuse of a JSS1 student of the institution, Don Davies.
This followed the application filed by the Counsel to the respondents, Fidelis Igwe, on the ground that the case was a bailable offence.
The persons granted bail included Mrs. Ndidi Solomon (suspended Principal), Joseph Nseabasi, Akpan Johnson, Egor Wilson, Joseph Ikenna, and two minors, Shalom Ibukun and Ola Feyisetan who were handed to their parents.

The magistrate in charge of the court granted all the accused persons bail in the sum of 500,000 each while the two minors among them were released to their parents.

The magistrates’ court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Thursday, granted bail in the sum of N500,000 each to the principal of the Deeper Life High School, Uyo, and four accused persons in the case of the alleged molestation of an 11-year-old Junior Secondary School 1 pupil, Don-Davies Archibong.
According to The PUNCH, the seven accused persons arraigned were Mrs Ndidi Solomon (suspended Principal), Joseph Nseabasi, Akpan Johnson, Egor Wilson, Joseph Ikenna, and two minors, Shalom Ibukun and Ola Feyisetan.

Also, two minors who were involved in the case of alleged sexual abuse and molestation of an eleven-year-old student of the school were released to their parents.
The school’s principal, Mrs. Ndidi Solomon, and others including Joseph Nseabasi, Akpan Johnson, Egor Wilson, Joseph Ikenna were arraigned on Thursday at the Magistrate’s Court in connection with the case.
When the case was read, counsel to the accused applied for bail for them, noting that the alleged offence is bailable.
