Baswant (35), who was evading arrest for a month, was trapped at Khed Shivapur. Police constable Amol Pawar, attached to crime branch (unit-1), had received a tip-off that Baswant would meet his family members at Khed Shivapur. A team, headed by assistant commissioner of police Surendra Deshmukh, inspector Sunil Takawale, sub-inspector Sunil Kulkarni and constable Ajay Thorat, laid a trap and arrested Baswant.
