OUR BUREAU ITANAGAR/ SHILLONG, Jan 16: Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya along with the other North East States lauched vaccination drives on Saturday. In Arunachal Pradesh he COVID-19 vaccine was rolled out in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday along with the rest of the country, with Dr Deka Associate Prof of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) at Naharlagun here becoming the first person in the State to get the dose. Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the State-wide drive at the KDS District Hospital, Tawang, which has also launched simultaneously in nine-session sites identified in the State including KDS District Hospital, Bakem Pertin General Hospital Pasighat in East Siang district, Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) Naharlagun, district hospitals at Namsai, Yingkiong (Upper Siang), Seppa (East Kameng) and Longding districts besides general hospitals at Ziro (Lower Subansiri) an ....

Image Source: IANS News Guwahati/Agartala, Jan 16 : The eight northeastern states joined the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive on Saturday with thousands of frontline health workers across hundreds of centres getting inoculated for the infection. Chief Ministers and Health Ministers of northeastern states formally rolled out the vaccination programme in the state capitals whereas senior health officials especially of the National Health Mission (NHM) have been constantly monitoring the inoculation drive and registering the necessary data in the Covid Vaccine Intelligence Network (CoWIN) platform. ....
