At the March 2 Pembroke city council meeting, Aimee Bailey was appointed as the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan representative on the city’s new Diversity Advisory Committee.
City council had previously appointed members to the Diversity Advisory Committee at its Feb. 2 meeting. While a position had been reserved for the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan on the committee, at that time of the appointments in early February, an appointment recommendation had not yet been received from them.
