Sometimes traditions can shape our perspective and understanding of what is happening around us. When we encounter something contrary to what we have experienced, followed, or believed, it can shake us.
When you try and try to understand a concept and just don't get it, you can develop a hard heart toward it. For me, it was algebra. For the disciples, it was Jesus' miracle of the loaves of bread.
We need to view ourselves as God’s love extending to a hurting world. And when we overflow with His love, no obstacle can stand for His love never fails.
Following God is full of uncertainty. We often want to stay in control and hold onto the things that matter to us. But surrender opens the door for God’s will. When we trust what He says and follow Him in faith, God always has something better in mind.
