The move is in compliance with President Rodrigo Duterte's Executive Order 28, where the use of firecrackers is confined to designated places and conducted under the supervision of a trained person duly licensed by the Philippine National Police. Brig. Gen. Matthew P. Baccay, PRO-3 director, said Wednesday the firecracker zones in the region are as follows: Aurora, 14; Bataan, 8; Bulacan, 86; Nueva Ecija, 29; Pampanga, 22; Tarlac, 60; and Zambales, 47.
