Daði & Gagnamagnið battled through two semi-final rounds and two rounds of voting during Iceland’s ‘Söngvakeppnin 2020’ to select their Eurovision nomination and succeeded.

But then the joy was swapped with disappointment when the contest was abandoned for the year due to the pandemic. Happily for them, they are back once again to represent the country for Eurovision 2021 and the extra year of practice may well just pay off for them.

Meet Netherlands Eurovision 2021 entry Jeangu Macrooy: Song, age, Instagram

Jeangu Macrooy is a singer-songwriter from Suriname, who moved to the Netherlands aged 20 to study music. This led to the release of two critically acclaimed albums – High On You and Horizon – as well as a tour in Germany and performances at popular Netherlands festivals Lowlands and North Sea Jazz Festival.
His self-penned song Grow is autobiographical, following Macrooy’s quest to find himself as he grows older.

Who is the UK's Eurovision 2021 entry James Newman? What is his song?

Not to be confused with his brother, singer John Newman, James Newman is a performer and songwriter who’s worked with the likes of Olly Murs, Ed Sheeran, Louis Tomlinson, Kesha and – most importantly – Backstreet Boys.
And like his brother, James has worked with drum and bass group Rudimental, even winning a Brit Award for British Single of the Year for Waiting All Night (with Rudimental and Ella Eyre) in 2014.
James Newman has also co-written hits including Lay It All on Me (by Rudimental, featuring Ed Sheeran), Love Me Like You (Little Mix), All I Am by (Jess Glynne).
