[LISTEN] Ml Ahmed Akoo: Passing of Hajee Qaasim Desai, His son Yusuf & Grandson Muhammad Ilyaas During Ramadan, a Heartbreaking & Dark Moment for SA Muslims Apr 21, 2021 The Muslim community in South Africa have been shattered and left heartbroken after three people lost their lives in a motor vehicle accident during the auspicious and blessed month of Ramadan. It is understood Hajee Qaasim Desai, his son Yusuf Desai and his 17-year-old grandson Muhammad Ilyaas were on their way back from performing Taraweeh when they were involved in a fatal accident that claimed their lives. The accident happened on Monday near Richmond in Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal.
