Following an appeal by the BJP, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has issued directions to the crisis-hit MVA government to prove its majority in the state assembly on Thursday.
Shiv Sena leader from the Uddhav Thackeray camp Sanjay Raut said that Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari is working with the BJP and that his order to conduct a floor test is illegal.
Amid the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena's counsel Devadatt Kamat said that a 2/3 majority applies only if a merger happens. Kamat said until the MLAs don’t merge with another party, disqualification applies.
