Austin man arrested in Killeen on alleged child abuse charge


An Austin man is facing a first-degree felony after he was allegedly caught “performing his ritual” with a child in Killeen on Thursday.
Angel Lopez-Ramirez, 43, of Austin, was booked into the Bell County Jail on Saturday on four charges: interference with an emergency call, assault causing bodily injury to a family member, unlawful restraint, and aggravated sexual assault of a child.
According to an arrest affidavit, Killeen police were dispatched Thursday to the 1900 block of Bacon Ranch Road in reference to a domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers observed Lopez-Ramirez had injuries to his face. “Lopez-Ramirez informed police that (a woman) assaulted him when she ‘saw him performing his ritual’ with (a minor),” police said. ....

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Andrew Rey Ybaben, 25, of Lubbock pleaded guilty this morning to aggravated sexual assault of a child in the 137th District Court. He was sentenced to 43 years in prison and is required to register as a sex offender for life.

On Tuesday, February 9th, 17-year-old Jayden Bruce of Abernathy was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication after he pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child.
This means that if Bruce can stay out of trouble for 10 years, he won t have to go to prison and won t have a felony conviction. He will, however, still have to register as a sex offender.
KAMC News reports that Bruce had exposed himself to an underage girl while he was alone with her in a residence in North Lubbock. He didn t have sex with the girl, but he did make her do sexual things. ....
