NCIS New Orleans was last seen on Sunday, February 28, with an episode called Homeward Bound.
The next instalment was supposed to be shown yesterday, March 7, but fans were disappointed when it wasn t.
While it was worrying not to see the newly-cancelled series on screen, thankfully, the drama hasn t come to a sudden end.
An official reason as to why NCIS New Orleans wasn t on hasn t been given but it can be assumed that it was just part of the show s hiatus.

Executive producers Jan Nash and Christopher Silber said: “It has been our sincere pleasure and honor to work on this show and with this incredible cast and crew for over 150 episodes.
“As disappointed as we are to see NOLA end, we couldn’t be prouder of the work we’ve done and are grateful to the spectacular and resilient Crescent City that embraced us for seven wonderful years.”
There will be no series eight of NCIS New Orleans once season seven reaches its climax.

Why has NCIS New Orleans been cancelled?
An official reason as to why NCIS New Orleans is being axed on CBS hasn t been given by the network.
According to Deadline, the drama receives an average of 7.06million viewers, with season to date reaching nearly 23million unique viewers and has been seen in more than 200 countries.
However, in comparison with NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles, NCIS NOLA is the lesser of the three in terms of ratings and off-network deals.
Another reason for its demise could be that two of its executive producers will be working on new show.
NCIS: New Orleans Season 7 continues on Sunday night when a new episode airs on CBS.
This new episode is called Leda and the Swan, Part II, and it concludes a story that began on the show earlier this winter.
For viewers who might need a reminder, Leda and the Swan, Part I introduced Agent Carter’s mother, who is played by Erica Gimple on the show.

Bringing Lynette Carter to the show has helped flesh out the character of Special Agent Quentin Carter a little bit more, grounding him in some additional family life.
Charles Michael Davis continues to be a good addition to the NCIS: New Orleans cast, even though he replaced Agent Christopher LaSalle on the show. The exit of actor Lucas Black is still felt, but he wanted to spend more time with his family.

This led Christopher to go on a mission to get revenge on Cade’s behalf.
With help from a dealer’s girlfriend Sue-Ann Hughes (Lucy Faust), he found a hunting cabin where the murder could have taken place.
But in a shocking moment, someone stormed in with a gun in their hands and started shooting.
Christopher leapt in front of Sue-Ann and took the bullets for her, which was heroic but devastating at the same time as the agent later died in hospital from his injuries.
