City of Carlsbad update: Stella Davis prepares to leave Carlsbad Dale Janway One of Carlsbad’s busiest citizens, Stella Davis, is in the process of moving to West Texas with her husband, Tony. Throughout her time in Carlsbad, Stella devoted herself to this community. Her service included many years as a reporter with the Carlsbad Current-Argus and a term as an Eddy County Commissioner. She served as chair of the Chamber of Commerce’s Age Friendly Council and was on the board of the Southeast New Mexico Community Action Corporation, among many other organizations. Stella and Bob Scholl also hosted the Community Forum radio show on KCCC. We wish her and Tony the very best and hope they will remain involved in this community when they are able.
