Sanwo-Olu commissions flyover, 4 road projects in Agbado Oke-Odo

Lagos State governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commissioned four critical road projects in Agbado-Oke Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of the state, bringing huge relief inflow of traffic from the Lagos boundary communities into Ogun State.
The newly constructed road network, totaling 6.26 kilometres, which is in fulfilment of yet another promise to the people of Alimosho, include Old Otta Road, Adekoya Road, Makinde Road and Suberu Oje Road.
Each project is a dual carriageway with reinforced concrete drains and walkways.
The governor also on Friday commissioned a 120-metre long bridge linking the boundary communities to Otta in Ogun State. ....

Council shuts health centre to prevent COVID-19 spread in Lagos [ARTICLE]

The council s Chairman,
Mr David Famuyiwa, had recently ordered the closure of Meiran Primary Health Care due to one of its staff that tested positive to the virus.
Famuyiwa said in a statement on Tuesday after inspecting some health facilities within the council, that the main building of BAT health centre was closed down while the fumigated premises would be open for patients.
According to him, COVID-19 test will continue to be carried out in the facility to ascertain patients health conditions before attending to them.
The chairman also said that fumigation has also commenced at Primary Health Centres (PHC) Meiran where members of staff had tested positive to the coronavirus. ....

Residents of Ifesowapo in Agbado Oke Odo Local Council Development Area have lamented what they described as “outrageous billing” by Ikeja Electric.
In a letter obtained by Punch correspondent on Monday, the residents asked Ikeja Electric to stop supplying power to their communities.
They threatened to drop their lines if the company refuses to cut them off in the letter signed by the Joint CDA Chairman, Mr Wasiu Bello, and the Secretary, Razak Shekoni. ....

The community leaders alleged that dialogue with the electricity distribution company was unsuccessful.
They claimed that efforts to get prepaid meters for residents in the area also failed. ....
