Two Afghan Women Judges Killed : AFP Reports

Armed men killed two Afghan women judges working for the country’s Supreme Court in Kabul on Sunday. They were brutally assassinated. The country has been seeing a rise in number of killings especially those of public figures.
The attack on the judges happened as they were driving to their office in a court vehicle, said Ahmad Fahim Qaweem, a spokesman for the Supreme Court. “Unfortunately, we have lost two women judges in today’s attack. Their driver is wounded,” Qaweem told AFP.
Afghanistan has more than 200 female judges working for its top court. The last time Afghanistan’s Supreme Court was a target, it was in February 2017. At the time a suicide bomber walked through a crowd of court employees, killing at least 20 and wounding 41. ....
