Col. Roger James Brillantes, head of the IAS-Police Regional Office 6, said the investigation is part of the protocol that they observe every time a member of the Philippine National Police (PNP) is involved in any illegal activity.
He identified the policeman as 43-year old Staff Sgt. Jose Digcabo-on Jr. who is now detained at the San Joanquin Municipal Police Station.
Brillantes said Digcabo-on was nabbed along with Jolly Sealza, Rogelio Servandil and Paul Panganitan on Sunday in Barangay Torocadan in San Joaquin town when police raided an area where a group of people was reported to be engaged in illegal cockfighting activity. ....
