Chick-fil-A opening new Delaware restaurant next week

View Comments The Chick-fil-A on Route 13 near New Castle is scheduled to open June 10, making it the first of at least three new locations the company is planning in New Castle County.  The fast food restaurant was built in place of the Dutch Inn – which was demolished last year – between McDonald s and Panda Express. It s the first step in a redevelopment of the Dutch Inn property. A Starbucks will be built behind Chick-fil-A and next to McDonald s along Route 273. Land further back from Chick-fil-A is being prepared for a future retail development up to 20,000 square feet in size. Chick-fil-A is expected to open at least one more location in New Castle County this year.

Chick-fil-A planning new Delaware location

Delaware News Journal Chick-fil-A is planning a new restaurant in Newark as two other locations prepare to open in Delaware later this year. The latest Chick-fil-A is being planned at the Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder facility on Ogletown Road. The firehouse and banquet hall closed last year. The Newark Post first reported the new location. The Newark restaurant, if approved, will join locations expected to open later this year in the Prices Corner shopping center on Kirkwood Highway and on Route 40 near New Castle. The Route 40 location is expected to open this spring. Chick-fil-A and Starbucks are taking the place of the former Dutch Inn south of Route 273 and near Panda Express, Chipotle and Wawa.
