Nevada Day and the big parade are just one week away, but first is the annual Carson City Ghost Walk this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in downtown Carson City.

A brief ceremony was held Monday at the Carson City Sheriff s Office building to honor Deputy Carl Howell who died in the line of duty while responding to a domestic violence call a year ago on this date, August 15, 2015.
