Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): Advocate Vikuolie Nihu Kera has appealed to all the Right to Information (RTI) Act users to be sensible and responsible stating that the Act must be utilised in good faith for the overall good of the society. While reminding that RTI is usually used for the interest of the public, he also warned that it could sometimes be misused with malicious intention. He, therefore, stated that RTI was not created for fault findings but rather to ensure transparency in governance. Vikuolie stated this during a programme held on October 11 at CTC hall in Chümoukedima to commemorate RTI Week. The programme was organised to create awareness among the district officials, members of village council/ VDB, students, media persons, NGO, and CSO etc., stated a DIPR report.
