The African National Congress (ANC) says it will oppose Ace Magashule’s bid to overturn his temporary suspension from the governing party.

He wants the High Court in Johannesburg to rule that the governing party s policy is unconstitutional.
In the court papers filed last week Friday, party president Cyril Ramaphosa is the first respondent followed by acting party secretary-general Jessie Duarte and the ANC.
“The African National Congress (ANC) National Officials met today, Monday, 17th of May 2021 and affirmed the decision to oppose the application lodged by the Secretary General Comrade Ace Magashule to have, among others, his temporary suspension lifted,” said ANC spokesperson Pule Mabe.
