COVID-19: L.A. County Updates Orange Tier Restrictions Effective Monday

As COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths continue to decline in Los Angeles County, the County Health Officer Order has been updated to reflect newly permitted activities allowed in the Orange Tier beginning Monday, April 5.
Additional safety modifications are required or recommended for many sectors.
The Orange Tier modifications to the Health Officer Order include the following:
– Bars that do not provide meals will be allowed to open outdoors with distancing, masking, and infection control safety measures. Indoor operations are not permitted. Visits are limited to 90 minutes. Masks are required except when people are eating or drinking. There can be no counter seating and people can eat or drink only when they are seated. Long Beach issues revised health order, moves into state's Orange Tier


City of Long Beach Health and Human Services Department has issued an updated Health Order, effective at 12:01 a.m. on April 1, as Long Beach enters the Orange (Moderate) Tier, the third of four tiers outlined under the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
“We’re making significant progress in reducing the spread of COVID-19 and our move into the Orange Tier is a reflection of our efforts,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “As we expand additional business operations, it’s our shared responsibility to continue to abide by the protocols and safety measures that keep us all safe.”

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed Tuesday 52 new deaths and 318 new cases of COVID-19, with 26,850 total cases in the Santa Clarita Valley.
To date, Public Health identified 1,210,905 positive cases of COVID-19 across all areas of L.A. County and a total of 22,519 deaths.
There are 865 people with COVID-19 currently hospitalized and 28% of these people are in the ICU. Testing results are available for more than 5,962,000 individuals with 19% of people testing positive. Today’s daily test positivity rate is 1.8%.
Los Angeles County recently moved to the red tier in the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy that allowed the County to reopen several key sectors yesterday including, on-site learning for students in grades 7 through 12, museums, indoor dinning at restaurants, gyms, and movie theaters with required safety measures in place including masking and distancing requirements.
