ADRIAN It has been nearly one year since Casey Labrenz was physically on the campus of Adrian College.
The California native and 2020 graduate of Adrian College was one of many soon-to-be AC Bulldog graduates who had their commencement exercises postponed not canceled, conducted virtually or completed in a drive-by format last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It feels like I was here yesterday, Labrenz said. It doesn’t feel like I left. It’s still home.
The pandemic’s impact last spring forced all students at Adrian College to vacate campus and return home as soon as they were able to do so, according to the college’s plan to mitigate the spread of the virus. Labrenz’s father, Mark flew from California to Adrian as soon as he could to assist his daughter coming back home.
