The Rano massacre was the most brutal, inhumane, and barbaric act committed by the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF), according to Presidential Communications Undersecretary Lorraine Badoy. "We will not forget the sanctity of our job as a public servant and how, when we hold a public office, what we really hold in our hands are the [safety of the] Filipino people and their children," Badoy, also the spokesperson of the NTF-ELCAC Social Media Affairs and Sectoral Concerns, said in a statement on Saturday. Rethink stand on 'bogus' peace talks, presidential bets urged

MANILA - The National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) on Monday warned presidential aspirants that the so-called peace talks with the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) are bogus. Undersecretary Lorraine Marie Badoy, NTF-ELCAC spokesperson for sectoral concerns, said communist groups have been classified internationally as terrorist organizations, the reason why candidates should not enter into negotiations with them. Badoy made the remark following a television interview over the weekend where Vice President Leni Robredo, Senators Panfilo Lacson and Manny Pacquiao, and Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso, answered "yes" to the question of whether they would continue the peace talks with the CPP-NPA-NDF. "It is either Vice President Leni Robredo, Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Ping Lacson, and Senator Manny Pacquiao have no idea about the true nature of these bogus ....
