The t hearing today is about an update on the implentation of recommendations at the independent review commission on Sexual Assault in the military and the establishment of the office of special trial counsel. We are delighted that you are all here. This is a very important hearing because in fact we are doing a benchmark review of the work of the dod as it implements of these particular commendations. Asou know the commission released the reports in july of 2021 so it important that we closely monitor implementation of those recommendations. Also last years Defense Authorization act included historic militaryustice reforms so we need to ensure the implementation of those provisions is closely aligned with the irc recommendation.
