The Ranga Adhyayana Kendra and Kannada department, St Aloysius College, in association with Astitva and Arehole Pratishtana, will stage ‘Bhoomi’, an English play directed by Vinay Kumar, on Friday. It will be staged by Adishakti Theatre Arts, Puducherry. This play is one of the most acclaimed theatrical performances of Adishakti, and it is a renowned theatre company raised in Puducherry by Veena Pani Chawla, a creative theatre thinker, researcher and stage director. Entry is free.

Bhoomi, to launch the Remembering Veenapani Festival 2021. Directed by Vinay Kumar, who also created the musical pieces, the play weaves together mythology and reality, past and present, humour and anger, to create a pattern quite distinct from what one has come to expect from Adishakti.
