Two Deming toddlers returned safe following Easter Sunday Amber Alert Father faces multiple charges DEMING – Cell phones were triggered early Easter Sunday with the familiar statewide Amber Alert emergency ring tone. At approximately 2:28 a.m. the alert was sent out by New Mexico State Police asking the public to contact the Deming Police Department regarding the whereabouts of two children, Aubri (3) and Adelina Lujan (4) who were last seen at 609 W. Third St. in Deming. According to the Deming Police Department, the father, Jose Luis Lujan, 27, took the children from the home and were believed to be in a white in color 2007 Ford Explorer.

April 5, all Albuquerque Public Schools students are able to return to the classroom in person for the first time in over a year. In-person learning is optional for the district’s students. KOB-TV reports the number of APS students expected to return to buildings this week varies, with some schools expecting to see all of their students, and others only about a quarter. APS is allowing families flexibility this week to make a final decision about whether their students will remain remote or return to the classroom.
